Here at Heavenly Bubble Works we post pictures of our

soaps and we tell you that they are all natural. In this

artical we are to break down each ingredient that is in

our soap so that you, our customers know exactly what is

in our soap bars and what each ingredient does and the

reason for it being in our soap. The way we see it the more

educated you are about what you are putting on your body

the better, after all the epidurmus (skin) is the largest organ

our bodies have. Here at Heavenly Bubble Works it is our

goal to provide our customers with only natural products.

In this artical we are going to breakdown all of the ingredients

in our soaps, we are also going to show you some the ingredients

in the most popular bar soap brands. We are only going to breakdown

a coulple of their ingredients, this is because as you will see their list

of ingredients is drasticly longer than ours.

Our Soap

When making our soaps we like to stick to 4 basic ingredients,

Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lye and water.

Lye sounds like a scary ingredient but we will give and

explination as to why it is needed even in natural soaps.

Heaveny Bubble Works base ingredients:

-Olive Oil

- Coconut oil

- Lye

- Water

Olive Oil:

Our soap bars contain Olive Oil as a base

ingredient due to its deeply moisturising and

nourishing properties. Olive Oil can also be used as a

pure body oil, hair treatment or natural soap which can

help to relieve dry skin and soften wrinkles. It is also

considered to be the most mild in soaps.

Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil soap is highly cleansing and conditioning

to the skin and produces a wonderfully bubbly,

creamy lather. It is rich in fatty acids which

help to remove blemish-causing dirt, bacteria and dead skin,

and it does so gently without irritating the skin.

Lye (sodium hydroxide)& Water:

Sodium hydroxide, also known as lye and caustic soda, is an inorganic compound with the formula NaOH. It is a white solid ionic compound consisting of sodium cations Na⁺ and hydroxide anions OH− Sodium hydroxide causes the chemical reaction of making soap, called saponification, when saponification is complete, the lye and oil molecules have combined and chemically changed into soap and glycerin. Bottom line is You Can not make soap without Lye(sodium hydroxide). Their Soap The soap that we are going to compare today is the top selling bar soap on the market Dove white Beauty bar.

Dove white Beauty Bar ingredients:

-Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate

-Stearic Acid

-Sodium Tallowate Or Sodium Palmitate

-Lauric Acid

-Sodium Isethionate

- Water

-Sodium Stearate

-Cocamidopropyl Betaine Sodium

-Cocoate Or Sodium Palm Kernelate

-Fragrance

-Sodium Chloride

-Tetrasodium Edta

- Tetrasodium Etidronate

-Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891).

As we mentioned earlier we will only be go through two of the ingredients that are in the dove bar, there are just to many to break them all down. You would be stuck here for hours. Were going to show you sodium palm Kernelate and Sodium Isethionate.

Sodium Palm Kernelate:

Sodium Palm Kernelate is the sodium salt of the fatty acids, derived from the oil of the Oil Palm kernel. It is used as a moisturizing surfactant in some bar soaps. The fatty acid can be anything from

beef fat to vegetable fats, found in palm oil or coconut oil or tallow. So if you are a vegan or vegetatian you could possibly be washing with soap made with animal fat.

Sodium Isethionate:

Sodium Isethionate is a detergent that is an eye irritant in high doses. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a synthetic surfactant that strips oils from your skin. It can irritate your skin if used in high concentrations. Sodium Cocoate is also a common soap ingredient that strips your skin of oil, making it irritating. Sodiym Isethionate sounds terriable! Its somthing I wouldnt want anywhere near my skin!

The reason we decided to write this artical is to help educate our constomers. You might be spending a little bit more purchasing handmade soaps, but is it really worth putting such harmfull chemicals on your skin better yet childrens skin. Do your research before you purchase mass produced soaps in doing so you will be protecting the largest organ our bodies have. Thank you for reading our artical we look forward to writng more.
